December 4, 200124 yr I am setting up a simple searchable DB using Custom Web Publishing. I started from simple examples provided in the book "Database Publishing with FileMaker Pro". Somehow the pages are served but the [tags] are not replaced by the appropriate info, they appear as text on the page... What could be the problem ? I bet it's quite simple. I have done this before but it's a bit rusty... Thanks
December 4, 200124 yr You are viewing the pages directly. They need to be processed by Web Conmpanion. To do this you need to specify a URL: http://www.domain.com/path/FMPro?-db=file.fp5&-lay=layout&-format=file.htm&-view

I bypassed this question yesterday because I couldn't find the words to explain this problem/solution succinctly...
December 4, 200124 yr Meltdown After you've answered it a million times you'll have it all nice and sussinct, too. It's one of the questions that keep coming up again and again and again. The other one is "When I click on the submit button the form works fine, but why do I get an error when I press return?"
December 5, 200124 yr Author Thank you all ! Turns out I was accessing the page directly... with the proper link syntax the tags are now properly interpreted by FMPro.
December 5, 200124 yr Serious question: I just noticed Vaughan's rating was decreased and that is not right, is it? Because I didn't voted for him before I put my ***** for him, but it wasn't enough. I also found, that I cannot change my rating of others if I see I was not fair or too optimistic. Any ideas?
