agtjazz Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 I have a value list for a field called “Status”. If the status is “Denied” I would like the word to show up in red. If I do change the field type to calculation, the value list won’t work. Or can I use a script to show the user a pop-up info screen that says “If this is Denied, Please send the form to the Supervisor” ? What is a more preferred method? Thanks in advance
LaRetta Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 (edited) There isn't a more preferred method. It depends upon how rigid you need to be, ie, do you just want to tell your staff what they should do or do you want to refuse to let them go home for the day until they have done exactly what you demand? Maybe you'll want both or maybe you'll want to use event trigger to fire script to insist they do their job (not recommended unless CRITICAL task and no other methods available). These are all business decisions and not developer decisions. What does the business want as far as enforcement? Anyway, here's the options to view.
