Hi. I am attempting to include various sized pictures into a layout. The container box has a pre-determined size but when I try to insert a picture it is expanded/contracted to fit the box thus adjusting the aspect ratio. Is there a way in which I can maintain the ratio without having to ensure that all pictures that I use have the same ratio to begin.

The container for your picture can be configured to "maintain original proportions".

In layout mode right click the container and select "Graphic Format" then select the check box to maintain original proportions.
