September 26, 200718 yr Text fields in layouts seem to take a static width and height. But what if my text is variable in length and possibly in number of lines (the text has embedded newline characters)? Is there a way to have the text field adapt its size from one row to the next automatically? For instance, in an order I have many line items. Each line item's description may be more than some fixed number of characters, and may have some newlines in it for ease of reading complex descriptions. Yet on my order print-out layout, I can't accommodate this text since Filemaker wants a static-sized text box in the Body. Thanks for any Filemaker or third-party add-on ideas!

September 26, 200718 yr Author I should have mentioned that I'm trying to get these multiple lines on a print-out. So using scrolling text doesn't work.
