I am familiar with the the old FM5.0 trick (FMKnowledgeBase # 2971) to show summarized data as a single row in a portal by identifying the first record of a summarized group in a relationship. The problem is that it requires a script to set a field that identifies the first record of each group. Does anyone know of a more "elegant" way of doing this-one that does not rely on a script?

A portal of ProjectSetionItemSummary when viewed on a Layout based on Project Table does not show any records even though the Items records are present and correct. Can anyone suggest what I am missing? Thank You
