I have a problem with the filemaker pdf creation. When I attempt to save as pdf the layout paper size changes to legal size. When after performing to pdf creation, I go to Print Setup it says "8 1/2 x 11", but if choose "8 1/2 x 11" the layout changes to "8 1/2 x 11".

Needless to say, I am really confused.

How can this change my layout?

The page margins for your layout are not as static as you might expect. Those margins are set in the Print dialog or Page Setup regardless of the mode you're in (Browse, Find, Layout , Preview) and apply to all layouts not just the one you're on.

Counter intuituve for sure. I don't know why it's set up that way, perhaps it has something to do with the variability of print drivers and options.

I guess that makes sense.

On closer inspection, I found my script had an error. I have a page setup step in my script, but somehow the page size in this step was set to Custom Size.
