Newbies Judy Posted February 6, 2002 Newbies Posted February 6, 2002 IS IT POSSIBLE TO SORT RECORDS WITHOUT A DIALOG BOX OPENING EVERYTIME? ONE EXAMPLE - IF A WEB SITE IS SET UP TO HAVE INFORMATION LOGGED IN BY THE VISITOR TO THE SITE, WHEN THE INFORMATION IS ADDED TO THE EXISTING DATA BASE, IS THERE A WAY TO SET IT UP SO THAT THE SORT IS UPDATED ALPHABETICALLY OR CHRONALOGICALLY, WHATEVER THE CASE MAY BE? IF THIS IS POSSIBLE, HOW ARE THESE SETTINGS ACHIEVED? CAN THIS SAME SORT FUNCTION TAKE PLACE WITH ANY DATA BASE CREATED IN FILEMAKER?
Garry Claridge Posted February 6, 2002 Posted February 6, 2002 Look at usingthe CDML tags "-sortfield" and "-sortorder" in your url or form. All the best. Garry
Keith M. Davie Posted February 6, 2002 Posted February 6, 2002 The answers already given assume that Custom Web Publishing is being used. If you are using IWP you have no control. SIMPLIFY ... Keith
