innodes
I am trying to perform a find in a field in which the data is hyphenated. The search seems to be crashing on the hyphen, thinking it is the minus fucntion. Is there a way to make this work? I am looking for all records greater than "K-007652". I have tried using @, #, ?, " " and *, but no go. Here was my first guess: >K-007652 thanks,
comment
What do you mean "crashing"? I suppose your find returns no found records, but crashing? The reason why this can't work is that "K-007652" is text, and it contains two separate words: "K" and "007652". Filemaker considers each word separately. innodes
Understood and thanks. By crashing, I just meant that the find was coming up blank as you stated. thanks
