user selectable field in table

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

was not sure where to post this, but this seemed to be the most appropriate...

I was trying to create the 'perfect' report layout but then realised that the requirements of the reports would vary per person.

Now the main requirement of the report is that it fits in an A4 portrait layout for printing..

So what I was hoping to do was have a default report layout...

The layout currently has 4 fields along the top

Serial|Project|Version|Status

followed by the details of each record - it's probably more of a table...

So what I am wanting to do is to be able to make it so that the user can select each of the 4 fields and change it to what they need to see...

is this possible - newbie here ;)|

Attached is a small demo of the GetField function. That's one way to do it.

that seems to be exactly what I wanted.

do you have any tips/guides I can use to implement it?

just realised opening the file within windows ZIP folder rendered it readonly and did not allow me to view the scripts/properties etc...

I can now so should hopefully be able to implement it into my table...

thanks for the help so far... will let you know how I go ;)
