October 25, 200718 yr Hi, (this may belong in the print section, but since it involves a layout I posted it here) I have searched most of the day and can’t come up with anything close. Is it possible to have a report layout to print only the fields that have data in them? (if you know of post explaining this, could you tell me how you searched for it, I tried inserting all operators into the search and still could not find anything). Thanks, James
October 25, 200718 yr I don't know if this solves your problem, but you could insert merge fields into the report - and then it will only print the data when there is data there, and move all other text up when there is no data.
October 25, 200718 yr Author Thanks, I have only messed with merge fields a little, so I do not have much knowledge of them...yet. How would that handle the field name next to the field: Address:<> Thanks, James
October 26, 200718 yr It might be easiest to make calculated text fields that display the field name and the field data only if there is data, and use these on the layout.

October 26, 200718 yr Author Thanks, Ive been holding off on moving to 9 until I get a better grasp of what I am doing in 8.5. I guess Ill have to take the plunge sooner than later. Thanks again, James
