Andrew5 Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 One part of work involves filing out forms with calculations. Is there a way in import an image of the form, so I can put my fields on top of it, and print the page as a whole with the form and the fields together, rather than having to load the printer with a xerox of the form, and adjusting my fields to fit that pre-printed form? I am using Pro 9 on a Mac. Thanks.
Genx Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 ... scan the form... import it into FileMaker as an image ... place you're fields onto it.
Andrew5 Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 Thank you , but I am a newer user and what you have written is not detailed enough for me to understand how to accomplish that. I can scan it, in which my scanner opens up a viewer ("Preview") and I can copy and paste from that, but how to go from that to what you tell?
Genx Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 1) Create a new layout 2) Go into layout mode 3) From the Insert Menu, Select "Picture" 4) From the Insert Menu, Select Merge Field and the field you would like to place over your image 5) Position the Merge field over your form where you would like the text to appear. 6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 as required.
