Using Value List to Navigate to a chosen field?

I am not sure if this can be done or not, and I didn't see anything after searching for a topic on it, so I thought I'd ask!

Is it possible to have a selection on value list, after selecting it (there are only 3) then navigate you to a particular field on the layout? I would want to keep the selection in the value list, but afterwards, jump to a different field. I've tried this with success using a scripted button next to the value list, but wondered if would work in one step.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hi Karen,

The only way to do this is to use an external plugin that can evaluate the content of the field and then run a script. There are a number of free plugins available that can do this type of thing.

ZIPPSCRIPT or EVENTSCRIPT are 2 that come to mind.
