Conditional Formatting of Objects

Featured Replies

OK, so I've figured out how to change text and field attributes, but how do I change the fill color of a simple rectangle object?

The Conditional.. dialog says "dynamically change a layouts object's formatting..."

Is a rectangle not considered a layout object? The Conditional.. menu item is grayed out when the rectangle is selected.

All I want to do is if a field value is "Yellow" change the rectangle to yellow...

I'm sure there's something I'm not seeing... Does anyone know if there's any good documentation on conditional formating yet? It's hard to find much on it!?!

Thanks

Dave

use a button object remove the line and effects and you can make it change on condition... Which only works for items that allow TEXT formatting. (Text objects, fields, tab panels.)

Circles, Lines, Rectangles, Web Viewer, Portals, Body Parts do not allow for conditional formatting.

Thanks for the lighting fast reply!

So dang simple...

Tab panels? If you know a way, I'd love to hear it! I haven't been able to make conditional formatting work on tab panels!

Dang! I was hoping you had a method to share that I hadn't worked out yet!
