Pause Script Indefinitely Changed Behavior?

Hi - Seem to have come across another change in behavior between FM8.5 and FM9. I was successfully using a Pause/Resume Script Indefinitely step to make a windowed layout act like a modal window, until closed by a button connected to a script. Worked well in 8.5, but now in 9, it no longer seems to work.

Any insights? Have they changed this script step in some subtle way?

Haven't noticed different behavior. The window is closed by a button. Does the button resume the current script or exit and start a new script?
