False positives with duplicate search

Whenever I search for duplicates in my parts database (250 000 records), it treats V = W, wich means

filemaker treats the below numbers as duplicates

double check that that field isn't a number field !

it's a text field indeed.

Can you post a stripped down file? Just a single table with the problematic field and a few records to show the problem should do.

yeah :)-)

I don't speak Swedish, so I don't know why this is, but it seems you can tell Filemaker to ignore the difference between "v" and "w" when indexing a field. That's what you currently have.
