Cannot Preview or PDF from 8.5v2

I cannot print Preview or PDF from within 8.5A. When I click the Preview button, the Print button flashes and does nothing - same with PDF pull-down.

It works fine from all other versions of FM that I have in my Mac, as well as other apps.

I have deleted the 8.5_plist and prefs files, restarted, re-installed 8.5A and applied the v2 updater in trying to find the cause of this.

I know after upgrading to Leopard, and before applying the 8.5v2 updater, I deleted some files - now I don't know what they were, and why this problem is 8.5A specific.

I have visually compared folder the application contents between 8A and 8.5A and cannot see any differences - I'm guessing there is some file hidden somewhere that needs something.

I can print to a physical printer, just not Preview or PDF in 8.5A

I am totally stumped - I do a lot of print to preview and then use the search function in preview to find things.

Any suggestions?

Check that the Preview app itself is working correctly.

Does the Save as PDF script step work correctly?

Preview app works fine by itself and when clicking the Preview button in all other versions of FM the button works fine.

Save as PDF script step works fine within 8.5
