February 12, 200817 yr I would like to be able to mark records in a list and then find the marked records. I have done this by adding a text field called, "Marked" formatting it as a checkbox and allowing the user to check the box to mark the record. I then created a button to find marked records then clear the field on all of the records. This setup workes fine for a single user. But, it breaks when multiple users are trying to mark and find their own marked sets. How can I do something like this in a situation with multiple users? Thanks!!
February 12, 200817 yr Change the checkbox to a button and the field underneath it to a calc. When the checkbox button is clicked, it adds the record id to a global text field. The field, "marked," = if ( patterncount (myid); globaltextfield, 1, 0) if the user needs to save their marked sets, then you must save the global text field of that contains all the ids that they've marked to a field (perhaps in the user table). Also, you may find the AddRemove custom function very useful for the button script.
