I would like to know if their was a way to save a record in PDf ...BUT... I like the PDF name to be a field name i currently have. For example: my field for invoice # is A2500 and I would like write a script to save my record as a PDF with the file name A2500.pdf

Yes you can dynamically name your PDF. The key is that you have to put your field value (A2500) into a variable first. Here's a similar thread to get you started:
