I'm looking for a calendar pop-up to facilitate date entry (like they use on all the travel sites).

Is there a plug-in for this?

If you're willing to upgrade to 8 or higher, Drop Down Calendar is a Field Setup option.

Edit: Didn't notice the 9 spec in the post. Check Field Setup for available options and see if that will do the trick for you.
