Newbies Rodger Kuhn Posted February 14, 2008 Newbies Posted February 14, 2008 This is driving me crazy, and I can't figure it out or find info on it. It seems like in Server 8 there was a way to hide a database from showing up in the Open Remote list. You could still host the database, but it wasn't listed to users. How do I do it with 9?
Fitch Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 There's a server setting under the Security tab: "List only the databases each user is authorized to access" There's also a checkbox under Sharing when you open the file with FileMaker Pro (not server): "Don't display in Open Remote File dialog"
dangkevin Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 This is true in FileMaker 9. Do you know how to hide the database from users in FileMaker 8?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 This is true in FileMaker 9. Do you know how to hide the database from users in FileMaker 8? Same way, and it's the same for FileMaker Pro 7 and FileMaker Server 7. Steven
