Hi all bit of a calculation issue

Featured Replies

ok heres my problem...

I want to display the total number of days absence one staff member has had, each staff member has an individual ID and in the table and I have a column called days taken (which shows how many days were taken when that person was absent) I've tried using a summary to do this but so far its summarizing the entire number of days absence instead of for each staff member despite sorting the summary by staff ID

does anyone know how i could possibly achieve this??

thanks IA for your help :

Do you have a summary field that is the total of "days taken" and is this field on a subsummary part?

Yes this is how I have tried to do it and then set the sub summary part to order by staff_id but as you scroll through the records it is totalling up the number of days for everyone and not showing an individual total per staff member.
