MagusJosh Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Hello! I've searched at some length trying to find some clue as to whether or not I can even do this without a workaround, so I'm asking. My apologies if it's something that's already been covered. I'm developing, as part of a set of databases, a contact management database and a purchase order database. On the PO database, there are three address sets...Supplier, Bill To, and Ship To. On each of these, the client would like to have auto-fill functionality. The problem is that when I create a lookup that connects the PO company name to the contact company name, it auto-fills all three instead of just the one I'm filling in at the time. Is it possible to create multiple lookups that go to a single source without having all of them auto-fill when triggered and if so, how?
mr_vodka Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Use 3 different table occurrences for each of the Supplier, Bill To, and Ship To fields. It is the same source but a different occurrence.
Ocean West Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I would also recommend you check out Core2 CRM http://www.core2crm.com/index.php?ID=197
MagusJosh Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 John, thank you for the advice. For some reason, I'm having a hard time making this work within a single layout. Any set of fields coming from one of the new table occurrences becomes uneditable. It's there, but it gets skipped when tabbing and can't be clicked into to enter anything. I must be doing something wrong...likely something I'll kick myself for not seeing...but I can't figure out what.
FM_SouthAfrica Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Why don't you post a simple copy here, at least then someone, including me can check it for you?
MagusJosh Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 Never mind, I figured out what I was doing wrong. Sometimes it really pays to start fresh in the morning. Thanks for the help!
