Making a help menu option to open a pdf?

I have a pdf guide that I would like to place on the help menu as an option.

I have looked, but cannot find a way to lauch a file from a new menu entry.

Can someone walk this newbie through step by step? I would appreciate it very much.

If you are using the Menu Set, 'Custom Menu Set 1', it should have the Custom menu 'Help copy'.

All you have to do is add a new Menu Item here (Add Command w no command assigned). You can call it whatever you want to and it could call one of your scripts or it can call just a script step.

Look into Send Event. You can specify the path to the document.
