Orlando, FL – March 24, 2007 -- FMPug (http://www.fmpug.com), the leading FileMaker-centric networking community has officially unveiled their new site today. Straightforward, easy and intuitive, the site has been redefined and redesigned from the ground-up, incorporating a streamlined navigation process and a host of new features utilizing the new FileMaker PHP API.

“I am extremely proud to finally launch the new and vastly improved FMPug site,” said Andy Gaunt, Founder of FMPug.com. “Admittedly it has been a long time in the making, but with every aspect of the site being retooled – I view this site as a tribute, a dedication to all our members, coordinators and sponsors who have provided us incredible suggestions and feedback over the years. It’s true, new features have been introduced, but the preexisting features have been restructured and organized in a cleaner, more clear-cut process. The look, the feel, the simplicity is a direct result of their feedback and I am confident the new site will turn some heads!”

It’s evident the new FMPug site has been built with the membership clearly in focus. Nothing illustrates this point more than the newly revised Pawfolio (personal business card) section. Members now have the ability to, in essence, create their own personalized advertising marquee. The new Pawfolio empowers members to promote their credentials, their company and their work. Andy explains further:

“FMPug’s entire mission is to provide our members products, tools and resources to make them better at what they do. Pawfolio is just another tool, a means for our members to get their name in lights! They have the ability to list their business strengths, provide a personal or company-based overview, include their logo and most importantly upload screen shots of their work. What’s more, members can use their Pawfolio page as their own virtual business card by providing a link from their site or via an email signature. Our members support us and we in turn want them to shine – it’s really that simple. ”

Though new features are evident, FMPug states the incredible host of benefits previously available remain steadfast: Plenty of discounts to third party providers, the Review It and Keep It program where great products are given-away in return for a review, the ability to discuss issues and events on RealTech, the capability to spotlight one’s businesses through PawFolio, attending Chapter Meetings with notable guest speakers, etc…it would appear nothing has been eliminated, only enhanced.

Andy concludes: “FMPug’s goals are quite simple; we want to provide our members with an avenue to grow stronger in their field of business. FMPug knows what it’s like to be a developer, and we believe it’s integral for our site to reflect the growing needs of the development community. I am confident that by simply listening and instituting the feedback directly from the FMPug community as we have, we’re one step closer to ensuring members both new and old get the most from their FileMaker experience.”
