scottvaughan Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Having a heck of a time getting this. I have 2 db's. The first is our main job ticketing system. Each job uses paper. Each paper has a name. That name corrsonds to a paper in my inventory db. That is basically a list of each paper and how many sheets we have. as a new ticket is written, I want to deduct the ticket paper from the inventory paper but for the life of me, can't get it to work. Help
jstaphse Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Can you give some background on your structure? You may need reserved quantity and committed quantity, depending on how accurate and dynamic your production is. Sample file added. (Hilarous file size too!!) Inventory_Sample.zip
scottvaughan Posted April 1, 2008 Author Posted April 1, 2008 Thanks for the help. I was able to figure it out.
Newbies Alden Posted May 7, 2008 Newbies Posted May 7, 2008 I downloaded this and it's awesome, but i am trying to figure out how to expand this so that i can start with a 0 inventory and then have a another layout for incoming paper. Does that make sense? I generally run the same like 14 papers (it's like 5 papers in different finishes and weights). I am trying to figure out how to set that up. I realized i could do that with a negative put into jobs but i am trying not to do that. Does that make sense?
