April 2, 200817 yr so if you join FM technet for $99 you get a free version of FMS9, sounds too good to be true- it kinda is. It works like a full version, but is limited to 5 FM client connections at a time. So for deployment, do I have to pay the full price, or just an upgrade license with my technet license key ? Has anyone had experience with this?
April 2, 200817 yr If it is the same as it was in the past, you [color:red]are not permitted to deploy anything using the Technet license. it is for development and testing only. So yes, you need to get a regular Server license. Steven

June 26, 201015 yr Dumb question but... Can you join technet in order to "learn" filemaker via the "free" server version without actually owning Filemaker?
June 27, 201015 yr The free TechNet license is for FM Server, not FM Pro client (or Advanced). To "Learn" FileMaker I assume you mean developing databases: for this you'll need FM Pro or Advanced. Download the trial and get 30 days for free.
