Leopard firewall and FMP 9

Featured Replies

I have Leopard's firewall on but every time I launch FileMaker 9 it asks me if I want to accept incoming network connections. I click Allow and in the Firewall Preferences I have FileMaker selected to Allow connections. But it keeps asking me every time.

Is there a firewall setting I'm missing?

Thanks.

I dont know about Leopard specific, but is you port 5003 open? Also you need to open 16000 and 16001 for the new admin console if you plan on using it.

FileMaker Ports

That's a good question. Unlike Tiger, Leopard doesn't give you the option to add individual ports, you add firewall permission on a program by program basis.

After I allow the access everything works fine, so the correct ports are enabled in the firewall, it just has to ask EVERY time.
