James Steele Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 (edited) I have a ODBC Connetion to a MySQL Server. I have no problem using this connection when I have a single computer connecting. However, I now need to look at hosting the FM Database on FM 9 Server Advanced. I need to have those data tables from the MySql Server availible to the Network Users. Is there a way for the server to control and hold the connection (ODBC) to that MySQL Server? Edited April 16, 2008 by Guest
Linux on Unix Action Hero Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 I'm looking at doing something similar, albeit with an separate host serving the MySQL. Is there much/any performance difference on a FileMaker server in such an environment, vs. with FileMaker and the SQL server on the same host?
