I have a old fm file that I changed to english but the system format in the file displays german, euro signs, index and so on. Is there one global setting to switch to english? I checked prefs and doc setting but I cannot fine anything.

If you create a clone of the database on a system with US/UK formats, that clone will have those formats.

Be sure that it is a No Records Clone.
