Pull Street Names from Zip Code

Hi. I need a hand in setting up a relationship between zip codes and street names. We currently have the city field and state field data auto enter based on the zip. I'd like to be able to

A) enter a zip code, then select a relevant street name from an editable dropdown list

or

: Enter zip, then start typing the street name and have autocomplete show me the relevant street names.

I've attached an image showing how I have the data set up... My bet is that I need a new table for street names but I'm a noob at this so any help is appreciated.

This next idea is strictly a 'wish list' item...but any direction would be great. I'd like like to get a range of valid street numbers for a given street within a certain zip. The idea would be:

Enter zip: city and state auto-populate

Start typing street name: get possible matches

Click a dropdown and pick house number based on zip/street. Similar behavior to entering an address on a GPS device.

Thanks in advance!

BUMP. Someone please point me in the right direction?

If you have a table full of addresses with their corresponding zipcodes, and then you have a relationship from your zipcode field in your orig table to this new table, you can 'filter' your address list down to the ones for that zipcode. You can either use a popup or you can use a drop down alone or a drop down with auto-complete turned on.

However, since it does come from a related table, you will not be able to edit the list directly from the drop down. You can script it or use an relationship to add a record to the new table.

I'm not sure I like this way of impute, I think I can see some problems laying beneath the surface.

Besides needing a separate field for each Name, you will need a separate record for each variation of the names. i.e. some streets are known by different names (Mountain View, and Mountainview, Cottonwood, and Cotton Wood. I have also seen the street name missed spelled. Our city has a verity of extensions, i.e. Street, Ave, West, East, North, and South come to mind.) Also, I'm in a Rural area, and we have County Roads, County Highways, which are know as County Road, Cty Rd, Cty Hwy, County Highway, Road, 97, 97A, 97B, etc., and I have found that they will appear differently on different Maps, including Map Quest, Goggle Maps, and my Tom Tom.

Some cities have more than one Zip Codes, and some zip codes cover more than one town.

The concept of using Zip Codes, and City lookups, etc., comes up from time to time. There are even a few files available here and at some of the sponsors sites you see on the Browser page here. Do a search for your keywords using the Advance Search here, and you should locate a lot of information.

Hint, use the plus sign on each of the keywords, and it will limit your search criteria to those thread that have all of your keywords. I would use +Zip +Code, +Value +Lists, +Conditional to start with.
