Hey there - just a quick question

I have a customer who wants to have different tables be sorted differently upon startup, but it sounds like Filemaker always sorts by creation date no matter what.

Is there any way to work around this and define a new default sort order? I thought about setting a script to run on login, but he wants different sorts for different tables.

Any ideas?

How about incorporating a sort into your navigation scripts? So that we the user clicks the "People" button to go to the People List view, it also sorts by Last Name.

However, I must warn you that as the number of records increase, this slows down the display of the list view. How annoying to go to the People list, wait for it to sort by last name, only to change the sort order to Age, for example.

I usually have each column header in a list view a button that sorts by that column.
