Find does not work

Featured Replies

I have a text field that is indexed and is a lookup. When trying to search this field majority of the time it does not work. The only time I've got it to work is when I've typed 1 or 10.

For other tables and files I have no problem search this type of field. The one thing that is different is that I'm only viewing active records. If they are marked inactive I search for them in the opening script and omit them from the viewed list. This occurs both with my script and when I use the filemaker search.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Where are you searching ? In a portal or "in the

record" itself ?

If it's the first, what is the relation established.

It's not clear enough what you're exactly doing.

It's in the record itself. No relationships.

Have you tried to reindex this field? Turn off the index, save and then reindex.

I have the indexing turned off and now it's working. I can't restart the database until this evening, but I think this is looking promising!! ;)
