krempch Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 ;) I am attempting to create a new table and have it display in a portal. Problem is, the field entry areas do not display when placed into browse mode. I have even attempted to copy an existing portal and have same issue. If I create the table/fields and add them to a layout without a portal, same thing happens. When I look at the relationships graph, table looks like the rest of those that do work, but it doesn't display. I am probably not understanding some small item, but it's become really frustrating. Help is appreciated! :P
aldipalo Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Have you checked Allow Creation of new records on the Portal TO?
mz123 Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Is there any way you could show your file? It sounds like a relationship. The layout that you're on - are you looking at a record? How does that record relate to the data in the other table that you want to show in a portal?
krempch Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 :worship: Hi - yes, it was the relationship (well, sort of ...). The relationship was correct, but the data hadn't been populated. I expected the field entry areas to display, regardless if records there or not, as was the case with other DBs I'd used before. I created some new test data and played about with the key fields vs the orignal tables - IT NOW WORKS. I guess I get the "DUH" award this week. Thank you very much.
krempch Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 I will definitely check on this. Intent is to allow that functionality. thank You!
