Newbies ken17 Posted May 17, 2008 Newbies Posted May 17, 2008 I am new to filemaker pro but I have an IT support background. I want to view all the records for a month by a user logged into Filemaker. Under the sort option you only have the choice of "fields" to sort by, there is no option to sort records by a particular user. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this forum
Lee Smith Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 You can't sort, because you don't have the data needed. This can be accomplished in a couple of ways, but we need some additional information about your setup. How are the users accessing the database? Peer to Peer, Sever, Server Advance, Web.
Newbies ken17 Posted May 17, 2008 Author Newbies Posted May 17, 2008 we are running filemaker pro on the server
comment Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 What do you mean by "sort records by a particular user"? You can only sort records by some attribute of a record, i.e. a field. A record is not associated with any user, unless you make it so - for example by adding a field that auto-enters the account name of the user that created the record.
