I have a bunch of nav buttons for the user on top (to navigate from one layout to the next)

How do I display the button for the layout the user is on? Different color? How do I make it look like it's pressed?

You can have the buttons greyed and then selected one blue, etc. Its all a matter of preference. You can even include a highlighted glowing look.

I believe the FM's business productivity kit has an example... i think...
