lostgirl Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 dear all, i have create a check-box set to accept the user's input but when i tried it out, it wouldn't tick. the other fields works just fine. what is the error about? regards, farah k.
LaRetta Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 (edited) Hi Farah! I assume then that you aren't receiving any error messages so we'll narrow it down from there ... Change the field from type checkbox to edit box and see if values are being accepted into the field at all. If yes then it is a layout attribute issue, such as pen color being same color as background. If no then I suspect the field is based upon a related table instead of the same table occurrence that the layout is based upon. If you do not have 'Allow Creation' on, it will not produce an error message nor will it allow you to enter the field [color:green]( if there is not already a related record ). Otherwise, even if pen width at none or pen pattern transparent, the box wouldn't show but the checkmark itself would. I believe all other situations would throw an error message. UPDATE: Added the green for clarity. LaRetta :wink2: Edited June 9, 2008 by Guest Added Update
lostgirl Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 Thanks LaRetta. I solved it already. At first, I changed it to edit box and it still does not want to accept my input. So I just re-do it again and make sure it accept my input in edit box before converting it to check-box and it works. Wonder why that happens. Regards, Farah K.
