Need Help with Finding a "word" in a text string

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a portal that holds records driven by year. I have a separate database that holds my sales items and pricing. I am trying to create a calculation that will find the word AD in the sales item field. The field that contains the word ad has different text following per record. ie. AD Full Page, AD Back Cover, etc. How do I find the records that contain the word AD? When I try to use = AD it doesn't work.

You can use a calculation to show the first two characters:

Left( SalesItem ; 2 )
