I have had a search around and can't seem to find a custom function for what I have in mind.

I am trying to get a field to show the total number of working days in the current month (based on working monday to saturday with sundays off) and another field to show the remaining working days in current month.

I currently have a couple of calculation fields that someone on this forum kindly put together but there is some errors in there and for some reason December shows the wrong numbers!)

I also need the day to switch over at 4.30pm

has anybody come across such a custom function?

Take a look at this. You'll have to make an adjustment for a 6 day week.

This may solve your first problem. There's also a CF to figure the number of days in a month. Take a look at all the CF's posted here:

thanks for that. I was just looking at the Brian Dunning website (but not hard enough!)

I shall try those examples although my custom function skills may not stretch as far as knowing how to modify them for my needs.

or dont use a custom function...
