locked out of database layout changes

I created a database in fm 7. The access privileges are now preventing me from making any layout changes. The Define area on the menu is grayed out. Can anyone help?

you will have to log in with an account with a privilege set that allows layout changes such as the [Full Access] account.

You can enter in a different account than the one you have set up as the default file option one by holding down the Shift key when the file is opening.

Holding down the Shift key doesnt appear to make a difference.

It's the Option key on Macs.
