'File is already open' - via FSA but not in FMA9

Featured Replies

I have two dbs that are related. When I open both bds locally via FMA9, there is no problem. But when I open the same files in 'remote' via FSA9 which is on the same machine, FMA9 says that the files are already being used, which is not the case. Strangely, when I open the same files via FSA9 on another machine, all is well.

Naturally, I cannot open FM on the host server machine and have the server running.

Any ideas?

Have you double checked the external data source file path to make sure that it is opening the correct file copy? Are you using a relative path or a network path?

Good question. I have tried both and I get the same result.
