How do I display a timestamp field as a date value on the layout?

Featured Replies

I cannot figure out how to display only the date and not the time of a timestamp field on a layout.

For example, the timestamp shows up on the layout as: 1/1/2008 12:00 AM

And I want it to show up as: 1/1/2008

Does anyone have any tricks up their sleeves?

For now, I've put a bunch of trailing spaces after the formatted date, and a bunch of leading spaces before the formatted time.

It works because none of my text boxes are long enough for you to notice what I did, but if there's a better/correct way, let me know.

This is really just a work around.

No what you have done is a pretty good way.
