get privilege set problem

Featured Replies

I'm running a start up script that is supposed to take the user to a certain layout depending upon his/her privilge set (Parent). The script is not working. When testing, I created a global calculaton set to equal "Get ( PrivilegeSetName )". When I log in under my account it returns [Full Access]. When I log on with Paret user account, my test field still shows [Full Access] when it should show Parent. What's up with this!!!

Check to see if the script is set to run with full access privileges.

Ugg. It is. The script creates a new record if one doesn't exist for the user. Guess that part goes in a subscript. Thanks!

Why is this in Calculations. It is about Accounts and Privileges, and you are talking about Script?

I'm using an opening script to direct parents to a particular layout and their own record. If they don't have a record, then one is created for them. I'm using the account name as the recordID and the priviledge set determins the layout.

How to know it's time to quit working on a project....when you can even put your questions in the right forum!

It is not a problem. I was wondering if I had missed something. Once you discover that is in the wrong topic, it is easily move.
