I need to create a new series of sequential invoice numbers for my existing database of several thousand records. Must start with a letter (i.e. A6001, A6002, etc. I know how to do it for new records, but how do I make this happen for exiting records?

In Browse Mode

You will need to isolate the records to be changed.

Go to the field, and then.

Main Menu >> Records >> Replace Field Contents.
