I am having a slight issue with printing in table-view. Currently I am displaying data from about 20 fields and originally Filemaker would cut off some of the viewable fields. At the moment to correct this problem I have shrunk the text so that it will all fit onto one page. I am wondering if FileMaker offers options similar to excel that allows the user to define the printable area, so I don't have to worry about resizing.

Also related to this topic, I'm wondering if I can word-wrap in the table view fields. This would greatly reduce the need for space.

I think that you'll need to create a list view, rather than continue with the table view. You'll be able to stack fields, wrap fields, slide up/left fields.

There is no Excel-like shrink to fit in FM.
