July 22, 200817 yr Newbies I'm completely new to Filemaker and I'm using it do build a database for my nonprofit organization. I created a "home/start page" to help me easily access my layouts. This "home page" consists of 4 buttons which link to the 4 different layouts that I have. 2 are data entry layouts (donors & donations). The other 2 are reports. On the top right corner of each of my 4 layouts is a button which links back to the "home page" layout. So after creating this, it does everything I want it to. It allows me to easily switch from one layout to another using the buttons. THE PROBLEM IS..... Records are being created in my "home page" layout when I add records in my "data entry" layout. This shouldn't happen because there are no fields for data entry in my "home page" layout....only buttons. When I delete the created record in my "home page" layout, it deletes records that I've created in my "data entry" layout. Hopefully I've explained the situation clearly and someone can help me out.
