WPE stopped working - Admin Server Connection Error

We have a two-machine config running on Windows Server 2003. All of a sudden when we login in with the FM Server Admin we get an "Admin Server Connection Error: Unknown error has occurred". We have to reboot. Then when we are logged in the WPE engine is not running and when we try to edit the config, it can not find the IP address. This all stopped working without any human intervention.

The Server is running behind the firewall and the WPE runs in the DMZ. This setup has been running fine for about a year.

We installed the latest version of Filemaker Server Advanced for Windows 2003 Server.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot this?
