netcode Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I was asked today to clone a database with no data in it. I thought this would be an easy task but it turned out to be very tough. Here is what I attempted, note that I never found the solution. I tried to copy and paste the database file itself, however when I opened it I couldn't do anything, it was not modifiable, despite the fact that I am logged in as an Admin. I checked the privileges on the file itself and everyone had read & write (strange?). Anyways so I canned that idea and tried something else. I read some things in the knowledge base and found that there was a "Save a copy as" option in the file menu. I opened my database and then pulled down my file menu and guess what, Save a copy as was grayed out ( I am still logged in as admin). Again I double checked the file privileges and all was good. After this I figured I would give up lol. Another thing I wanted to quickly ask was where do I edit privileges for users. I couldn't find anything in the Server interface.. seems odd that it wouldn't be right there.
mr_vodka Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 My guess is that the files are being hosted. You will have to unhost the files and then save a clone.
