I have a database on FM Network. The users access the files by clicking on the FM icon on the desktop then choose "Open Remote" from the File menu. Is there a script or an easier way to access the files? I would like to have an icon on the desktop and when clicked it accesses the files. Thanks.

You can also use a simple URL shortcut. To get your database URL with FileMaker 9, use the send link menu item and copy from generated e-mail. It begins with fmp7://

Then to create a shortcut :

On Windows :P right-click on desktop and select New/Shortcut

On Mac : open Safari, type the url without validating, drag and drop the url to desktop (I didn't find a more obvious way of doing it)
