Dealing with some contract-related fields.

One field is for the date of contract signing.

Another field is for the duration of the contract, expressed in months. Months could range from 6 to 36 or possibly even more.

Would like to have a field that auto-fills the contract expiration date, which would be calculated from the signing date and the duration of months.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Josh, is it inclusive (so you want the date PAST the month), [color:green]ie, 12 months would be 6/1/07 - 6/1/08 or would it be 5/31/08? Also, please first specify what you mean by month. For example, how would you answer these:

Expiration Date: 8/31/2007

Duration: 1 month

Answer? 9/30/2007 or 10/1/2007 or ?

Expiration Date: 2/29/2004

Duration: 12 months

Answer? 2/28/2005 or 3/1/2005 or ?

Once we have the set of rules, we can give you the calculation. :wink2:

Thanks for the reply, and sorry I didn't see it sooner.

Question 1: 12 months from 6/1/2007 would be 6/1/2008

Question 2: 9/30/2007

Question 3: 2/28/2005
