Problem with many portals on a layout

I've just realised that things are not going as I expected.

I'm trying to add a number of portals to a main form to give me an overview of all my orders, jobs accounts etc. regardless of what customer they relate to.

I'm wondering what to base the main layout on as this does not actually hold any fields - it's all portals but it's relationship seems to be causing a problem.

I usually have a table, Main, that has one record and I base my main menu on it.

In your case, you'd have cartesian (x ) relationships from Main to all other tables.
